Although I was supposed to have my first mentor visit the past week in ISM, my mentor's background check was not processed yet, which caused a delay in our meeting. It was fine though because during the time I would not see him, I decided to do a little research on my own. I started searching for AWS-related articles, because my mentor works as an AWS Solutions Architect, and I created a list of questions and conclusions I came with throughout my research. When I meet my mentor this upcoming Thursday, I look forward to asking him to check my research and verify any doubts that I had over the subject. I also look forward to asking about his own opinion on the current strengths and weaknesses in the AWS cloud. Along with research, I did my assessment the past week over the basics of cloud storage, and I tried my best to get as comfortable with the topic as I could. Finally, I discussed with my dad about current cloud architecture, as he works in the field as well, and I gathered a bunch of bullet points to get me started on the subject. The past week was the last week we had two assessments due (interview and research), which is awesome because starting from this week I can work more towards my original work rather than stressing about assessments. I will also use my research to complete my research assessments and mentor visit assessments.
