Research Showcase: Check

Last week in ISM, we had our research showcase for this year, and altogether the event was a success. In my opinion, it was an amazing event, and I was very happy with the outcome of the showcase. I learned so much about other people's topics and their ISM programs at their schools from this event, and I look forward to keeping in touch with some of the students I met before the event started. During the event, a lot of people came up to display board and viewed the research that I conducted throughout this class. Many of the people I met with at the showcase were individuals who currently work in the field that I am looking at, and obviously they were asking questions that I had not yet researched, but it was great to gain that knowledge of what they were talking about. Finally, my favorite part of the event was getting the chance to meet the VP and Senior Executive of Cloud Services for AWS, Mr. Brent Jaye. He was such a nice person and he gave me a lot of insight of what to look into as I continue in this field. He gave me his email as well to stay in contact with him and I am very glad that he was at the showcase. Overall, the last week in ISM a great week, and this week I have a lot of work to get done. I have to work on my research speech, get an idea for my final product, and go on a mentor visit.
