This week in ISM was a bit more relaxing compared to the earlier weeks because there was a Symposium on Wednesday and only an Original Work proposal due on Friday. The Business Symposium was actually a great experience and very helpful in terms of improving my resume, professionalism, and connections with other students as well as more professionals in the workforce. I had an interview with two professionals who, ironically, were also consultants, but they worked in different consulting fields and firms compared to what I am familiar with. One of them was a costumer experience consultant and the other was a management consultant. Although they weren't software related professionals, I learned a lot more about consultancy in general, and the Symposium was just an amazing learning experience overall. Other than the Business Symposium this week, I contacted the third professional who works as an IT consultant for Capgemini, and I got my final research interview set up for October 14. Finally, I turned in my Original Work proposal as well this week, which consisted of my intentions to devise a plan to create a cloud computing platform based off of current flaws in cloud platforms. I also talked about going on to create an actual cloud platform myself, or go on to use my research to create a platform design without problems.
