Throughout these first few weeks in ISM, I learned a lot about the similar fields of Computer Science, Software Engineering, and Information Technology. Although each of these fields have their own differences, they are interchangeable in many different ways as people who earn degrees in these fields can acquire jobs that are very alike. The first research assessment I did explored how an Enterprise Systems software known as SAP can be worked on through many different degrees, but requires different types of special courses as well. There are still many different software programs that I have to research throughout the course of this class, which hopefully I'll get to at some point. Along with researching, I was able to connect with 6 professionals on LinkedIn who work in this field and set up two research interviews with professionals. Both of the interviews were set up over the course of this log so I honestly don't know what else to talk about other then the interviews. But my goals for next week are to just get one more research interview set up, find new articles for my upcoming research assessments, and hopefully ask someone to be my mentor by the end of that week. I still have a lot more to research and hopefully I get a lot of information next week.
